Quake 3 menus on the iPod Touch

Hey everyone, here's a new video. This time we've got Scott showing us navigating through the Quake 3 menus. We're excited that it performs so well since Space Trader game play relies on a lot of menus. Let me know what you think!

More Info...

Hi, for those of you who viewed our youtube of Scott and some iPods here's a bit more info on the video.

First off we (HermitWorks) are an independent video game developer and we use the Quake 3 engine. We wanted to see Quake 3 run on the iPod Touch as a first step to getting our game Space Trader running on the iPod.

So here's some facts:

1. yes, it's real. :)

2. we're not happy with the controls yet, but I'm amazed how quickly people adapt. and the controls *will* be awesome.

3. and yes, the iPod is going to be an awesome gaming device so start saving your money.

Quake 3 + iPod Touch

So we've been playing around with Quake 3 and Apple's iPod Touch. Scott grabbed the icculus source and with a few modifications had it running pretty quick. Here's a video of him with two iPod Touch's in multiplayer.


Space Trader Source Code Release

Latest version of the Space Trader source is now available. Space Trader is based on the Quake 3 GPL release. You can get it here:
